GRAYLING – It’s the best time of year to attend the Grayling-AuSable River Festival! The AuSable River Festival offers a full week of events, starting Friday, July 22 and ending Saturday, July 30, after the AuSable River Canoe Marathon.

With over 100 boats entered in the canoe race, the number of people in town is expected to be between 10,000 and 15,000, making it one of the most successful river festivals of all time!

FRIDAY JULY 22, 2022

5:30 p.m. 12th Annual Car & Truck Show Cruise Night – 5:30 p.m. Food and refreshments

7 p.m. Cruise start at Northstar Auto Wash Cruise through Grayling ending at Grayling Country Club – Event details contact Dan Migrants at 989.745.5880.

SATURDAY JULY 23, 2022

*ROAD CLOSURE* 100 – 400 blocks from Michigan Ave., the intersection of blocks 200 and 300 spans Peninsular Ave and the intersection of blocks 300 and 400.

7am-10am Pancake Breakfast at Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church, $7 all you can eat (River House benefits, Christian Help Center Food Pantry, Baby to Toddler Closet)

8am-3pm 36th Annual Classic Car & Truck Show on Michigan Ave (Registration from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.$15/vehicle, Trophies 2:30 p.m.) Everyone is invited to come see the cars, Classic & Modern Muscle.

SPIKES CHALLENGE SCHEDULE

8am Registration for all Spike’s Challenge events will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the City Park Pavilion. These events include the C-1 Race, C-2 Race, Junior and Novice Races, Mentor Races

9am Sprints for C-2 Race Start Position, Grayling City Park Pond

2 p.m. Junior, Novice, Mentor races on the pond

5 p.m. Registration continues for all races at Joe Wakeley’s House for the C-1 Pre-Race, Junior C-2 Race at Burton’s Landing. Please, no dogs in Joe’s Yard.

5:30 p.m. Start of the Junior C-2 race at Burton’s Landing, starting on Ingham St.

6 p.m. Start of the C-1 race at Ingham St.

9 p.m. Start of the 73rd Annual Canoe Marathon on the AuSable River at the Old AuSable Fly Shop (paddling from Grayling to Oscoda) listen to 98.5 UPS, the official station of the ARCM and flagship station of the ARCM radio network, for coverage of the race from start to finish.
