RESTON, Va., June 27, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — To inspire Americans to camp green and get clean for the Earth, the National Wildlife Federation is partnering with Johnson Outdoors to launch this year’s Great American Campout. The Great American Campout encourages people to get outside and connect with nature in meaningful and responsible ways. The goal is to leave no trash, no trace, and to pick up litter to preserve the environment so that future generations can enjoy the outdoors for years to come.
Picking up litter at campsites, on trails and in surrounding areas is an easy way to camp responsibly. By taking up the Clean Earth Challenge, participants are part of a large-scale effort to clean up the planet! The challenge calls on tens of millions of individuals, families, students, teachers, conservationists and leaders to get out there and take simple conservation action to help improve the health of the planet by raising 1 million waste.
