Second Annual UW FinTech Pitch Competition Launched

Sound Credit Union and the University of Washington Tacoma’s Milgard School of Business announced that the application window for the second annual UW FinTech Pitch competition is now open. Help clean up the Nisqually River

The Washington Kayak Club, Washington Recreational River Runners, and Paddle Trails Canoe Club invite locals to join an effort to clean up the Nisqually River. The event, held this Saturday, will run from McKenna Park to Nisqually Park and from Nisqually Park to the WDFW Water Access Site on 6th Avenue SE. Learn more about the event here.

MOD Pizza partners with Feeding America to support Food Lifeline

MOD Pizza recently partnered with Feeding America nationally to support its network of food banks, known locally as the Food Lifeline. The partnership has so far contributed $48,116 to the effort. The MOD also plans to raise funds to support Best Buddies, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
