Nine boys from Maritzburg College, along with a number of former boys competed in the grueling three-day MyLife Dusi Canoe Marathon and produced excellent results.

Top honors went to old College boys Andy Birkett and Dave Evans, overall winners in their K2; a 9th consecutive victory and 12th overall for Andy, and a first victory for Dave.

College head canoe coach Bridgette Hartley finished third in the women’s race paddling with Pippa McGregor.

The College Boys U18 did extremely well, with James Goble and his partner finishing third in their age category.

The College hosted a very successful U19 and U14 basketball tournament this weekend, playing against nine schools. Our boys played extremely well, both teams qualified for the final and won all their matches. College U14A emerged victorious from the junior tournament, beating Northwood 50-36.
