Loose Women share their stories of marriage disaster

The Loose Women opened up about their marriage horror stories in a candid chat on Thursday’s episode of ITV’s daytime show.

Hosted by Jane Moore, panelists Frankie Bridge, Nadia Sawalha and Sunetra Sarker recalled their great days at the purple desk.

Saturday singer Frankie, 33, dove in to tell ITV viewers of her nuptials to former footballer Wayne Bridge in Bedfordshire seven years ago.

Frankie recalled that she “started to gush” moments before walking down the aisle with her dad, saying, “I had this thing that I didn’t want to cry because I had all my makeup done.

“I knew if I looked at someone I liked, they were just going to trigger me.”

Frankie recalled she ‘started to squirt’ moments before she walked down the aisle

But she said her determination not to cry on the big day led her to walk down the aisle staring at the floor, adding, “So I don’t have nice pictures of me and my dad.”

Frankie continued, “Wayne was inconsolable the whole wedding. He could barely deliver his speech and then he also cried for weeks.

“So my message to anyone getting married is just cry. Wear waterproof makeup.

She then added her final piece of advice: don’t buy a mirrored dance floor for the big day, even though it may look beautiful.

Frankie explained, “Not everyone could walk on the dance floor until they were drunk if they were wearing a dress.”

Frankie said: ‘I did it because aesthetically the room was nice, but I didn’t think of any of my guests.

“Obviously I had a long dress on, so it was okay. Not everyone could walk on the dance floor until they were drunk if they were wearing a dress.

Panelist Nadia looked horrified and said, “Oh my god what a mistake,” as Frankie laughed it off, replying, “It looked awesome though. It was a talking point.”

Walking down the panel, Jane detailed her own wedding day horror story as she told her co-hosts how husband Gary Farrow nearly missed the big day because he was arrested the night before.

“I would have had pre-wedding jitters if I had known what was going to happen.”

The Loose Women panelist married at London’s Claridges Hotel in 2002, with a star-studded guest list that included Jonathan Ross, Barbara Windsor and Frank Skinner, while Sir Elton John was Gary’s best man.

Jane said: “I would have had pre-wedding jitters if I had known what would happen.”

The 59-year-old journalist explained how her husband had been “thrown into a police cell” the night before.

She explained: “He was in a hotel with his friends and there was a fire alarm and he didn’t want to leave the hotel until he knew everyone was okay – then he went crazy.”

The Loose Women opened up about their marriage horror stories in a candid chat on Thursday’s episode of ITV’s daytime show.

She said when Gary was put in a jail cell he could see it was daylight and knew their nuptials were due to start at 10 a.m. sharp.

Jane continued: ‘In the end they let him out and he was put on that roundabout and had to call his brother.

“He must have met him in his wedding clothes and then he came over and I said, ‘You look fine’. I thought he was still drunk.
