According to eBay search data, Toronto Maple Leafs megastar Matthews and Edmonton Oilers icon McDavid have consistently been among the most searched for sports memorabilia and collectibles on eBay Canada over the past of the last few weeks.
Whether it’s sports cards, autographed memorabilia, jerseys or just about anything else, Matthews or McDavid related items usually don’t last long.

Richmond Hill’s McDavid, just 25, has already won the Hart Trophy as NHL Most Valuable Player twice and is up for nomination again, along with Matthews, who is after his first Most Valuable Player ( New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is also in the running). Matthews won his second straight Rocket Richard Trophy this season as the league’s top scorer.
Both played well during the NHL playoffs, with McDavid powering the Oilers to a Game 7 win to advance to the second round. Matthews was also a force, but failed to get the Leafs over the hump.
