The Canadian Premier League franchise has announced that Sunday’s game at TD Place against Winnipeg-based Valor FC has been postponed due to the league’s COVID protocols.

The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday night at TD Place. Tickets that were issued for Sunday’s game will be honored on Wednesday or for any future home game this season.

“We understand that this unfortunate turn of events is disappointing for our fans, as it is for our entire team,” Atletico CEO Fernando Lopez said in a statement. “We felt this was the only way to ensure the health and safety of our players and staff. We would like to thank our supporters for their support, hope we can count on their continued and vocal presence, and we look forward to seeing them at TD Place for the rest of the season.”

Atletico are currently tied with Cavalry FC at the top of the CPL table, with a record of seven wins, four draws and three losses.
