Sponsors keep Pietermaritzburg’s Dusi river clean


The MyLife team has been heavily involved in cleaning up the Msundusi River ahead of the MyLife Dusi 2022 Canoe Marathon.

As the canoe’s spotlight begins to shine on the Dusi Canoe Marathon in February, the race’s title sponsor has launched an ongoing program of clean-up initiatives in the Dusi River watershed and key educational programs.

After taking over the title sponsorship of the Dusi Canoe Marathon in 2021, MyLife staff and management have teamed up with the Dusi Umgeni Conservation Trust (Duct) and have been working tirelessly since early November to clean up the waste from the river.

In addition to keeping the river clean, MyLife staff took the initiative to visit the Valley of a Thousand Hills to educate teachers and children about the importance of keeping rivers clean.
