Bradley secured a place in Major League Soccer’s Week 22 Team of the Week with his second brace for TFC, while the Bernardeschi TFC New Designated Player’s sparkling debut earned him a place on the bench. The Italy international wasted no time in treating himself to the BMO Field faithful, netting a debut goal and an assist in just 45 minutes of action.

The Reds dominated the proceedings from the opening whistle with all four goals scored in the first half of the game. The first of Bradley’s two goals came in the 10th minute through Bernardeschi’s delivery from a corner which was met by the captain’s header at the near post. Following that set-piece connection, the former Juventus winger would put himself on the scoresheet in the 31st minute.

Bernardeschi’s long shot put the ball just out of Charlotte keeper Kristijan Kahlina’s reach to give the Reds a three-point lead. The Reds put the result to bed in first-half stoppage time. After a back heel touch from Italian superstar Lorenzo Insigne, Bradley broke through Charlotte’s defense to crush Kahlina and complete the victory.
