After a packed 11-game schedule last night, there are just four games tonight in the NHL. Here are some player accessories worth considering.

Aleksander Barkov over 3.5 shots on goal +105 (bet365)

Matthew Tkachuk will serve the final game of his two-game suspension, which means Barkov will have another chance to lead the offense down his line for Florida. The Panthers host the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in a battle of two of the league’s best offenses. This one should be a back-and-forth affair with plenty of hits in both directions.

Carter Verhaeghe over 0.5 power play points +440 (FanDuel)

Sticking with this game, the over/under total sits at 6.5, with some sportsbooks going even higher as Vegas expects plenty of goals in this tilt. Florida’s power play clicks at 12% on the season, which is the third-worst in the NHL this season, but they’ve been unlucky for the most part with a shooting percentage hovering around 8%. Carolina’s penalty kill has been very good in the past, but so far this season they have a 77% hit rate, which puts them in the middle of the pack. If goals are to be scored in this match, I expect there will be at least a few to the man’s advantage.

Brendan Gallagher over 2.5 shots on goal +108 (FanDuel)

The Habs forward doesn’t play a ton of minutes every night, but makes the most of his opportunities when it comes to shots on goal. On the year, Gallagher is averaging just 14:05 per game, but in his last five games he’s averaging five shot attempts and just over three shots on goal. Gallagher takes a lot of his tight shots, giving him a much better chance of landing one at net. Montreal faces Vancouver tonight who allowed 41 shots on net to Ottawa on Tuesday night.
