What’s happening in Herefordshire over the Easter weekend


For families planning outings over the Easter holidays, here is a list of things to do during the school holidays.

Join the Adventure Quest at Goodrich Castle, near Ross-on-Wye. Clues and challenges are a great way to encourage young visitors to explore and everyone will have fun with an egg and spoon race and egg roll. Normal castle admissions apply, plus £1.50 per child for the quest. The event runs until Sunday, April 24. Leisure Oak Wood

Global Eggventure at Eastnor Castle

Eastnor Castle is hosting a family treasure hunt celebrating 150 years of ‘Around the World in 80 Days’.

Visitors find clues around the castle and grounds and turn in their entry for a chocolate treat at the end.

The Easter event is included in the admission price alongside all the usual castle attractions.

Easter Family Craft Day at Hereford Cathedral

Join the Hereford Cathedral team at Easter for a day of craft activities suitable for the whole family.

Make a selection of crafts to take home and learn more about the history of Easter. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 19, meet anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Croft Castle Easter Egg Hunt

Celebrate Easter with a family day out in Herefordshire at the National Trust’s Croft Castle, near Leominster. To add to the pleasure of young visitors, a nature trail through the magnificent gardens with themed activities for all ages. Newbridge Farm Park

Newbridge Farm Park, near Ledbury, is open during the Easter holidays. Daily activities include an Easter hunt with a chocolate prize for all the children, spring craft activities with Laughing Betsy from 10am to 3pm, tractor rides at 11am and 3pm, and lots of indoor and outdoor games.

Canoe trips in Herefordshire
